PROJECT STORY
The ROW issues and timely approvals from power distribution utilities were established as potential challenges for the project. Building the infrastructure on the heavily forested land in the region would require clearances as well. During the execution phase, the creation of a fully automated gas insulated substation would also increase the complexity of the project.
Our teams worked simultaneously on getting approvals from various entities and departments for the project during the planning phase. We also used monopoles to reduce the land requirements by 80% and preserve the forest areas as much as possible. Micro piling to create the foundation for the monopoles allowed us to minimize impact on the land. Constructing the gas insulated substation underground would require expertise as well, as it would have to work independently and without human intervention in the future.
This project will span over 136 kms while delivering over 3000MVA to enhance power transmission in the region.
Project Detail
Dedicated teams for forest and ROW clearances have been identified and working independently with pre-planned ways.
