We support EdIndia*, a non-profit start-up that leverages technology and data analytics to create innovative solutions that improve the quality of education at scale. EdIndia supports State Education systems across Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh, Tripura and Mumbai Municipal Corporation. It’s work is supporting more than 200,000 teachers who in turn are guiding more than a million students under their wing.
Currently, it drives three major projects — Pragyan, Nirnay and Teachable, that are focused on building capacity and capability, enriching learning content, enhancing learning environments, sharpening technological readiness, and enabling data-driven objective assessments of student performance. EdIndia has also developed mobile apps matching teacher needs for better quality resources in vernacular. The start-up is partnering with established players in the education technology space, like UNESCO, Google India and Diksha , to widen the reach and impact of its projects.
Recently, it has been recognized at the Asian Power Awards 2021 in the category of ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative of the Year – India’. Edindia won this award for training more than 2 lac teachers across the states of Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Tripura, and Uttarakhand, especially during the pandemic. EdIndia has also been invited to The Global Collective for SEL and Digital Learning anchored by UNESCO. The Collective is a multi-stakeholder alliance mobilized to promote Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) and digital learning as critical new dimensions in achieving the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4.
